Additional Services

Telehealth Visits

Many gastroenterology concerns can be handled without a trip to the office. We offer telehealth appointments for new consultations, follow-up visits, review of test results, and medication management. Telehealth visits are available to patients located in Florida at the time of the visit. Call 813-600-3709 to find out whether a virtual visit is right for your concern and to check your plan’s telehealth coverage.

Direct Access Colonoscopy

If you are due for routine colorectal cancer screening and in generally good health, you may be able to schedule your colonoscopy without a separate office visit first. Send us your information and a member of our clinical staff will call you to review your health history and get you scheduled. Learn more about direct access colonoscopy.

Infusion Therapy

For patients whose treatment plan includes infusion therapy, we are able to provide it as part of your care with us. Ask your physician whether infusion therapy is appropriate for your condition, or call 813-600-3709 for more information.

Medical Weight Management

Excess weight contributes to reflux, fatty liver disease, and a number of other digestive conditions, and treating it is often part of treating the underlying problem. We offer medically supervised weight management as part of your gastroenterology care, including GLP-1 medications where they are appropriate, with a plan built around your health history rather than a one-size-fits-all program.

Whether a particular medication is right for you depends on your medical history, and coverage varies considerably between insurance plans. We will go over both with you before starting treatment.

FibroScan Liver Assessment

FibroScan is a painless, non-invasive scan that measures liver stiffness and fat content in about ten minutes, with no needles, no sedation, and no recovery time. It helps us assess fatty liver disease, hepatitis, and other liver conditions, and in many cases can reduce or eliminate the need for a liver biopsy. FibroScan is available at all three of our offices, and you can drive yourself home afterward.

Hemorrhoid Banding

Hemorrhoid banding is a quick, non-surgical treatment performed right in our office. A small band is placed at the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off its blood supply, and it falls away on its own within a few days. The procedure takes only a few minutes, requires no sedation, and most patients return to their normal routine the same day.
